Garden Cleaning Before & After

My good friend Farmer Carly needed a little mid-season garden revival of her small home plot of flowers and veggies.

And that's my literal favorite thing to do!

While Carly worked on her compost I worked on the beds, returning them to all their glory in just one afternoon!

BEFORE

Here's what I did:

Gave all beds a deep watering, making sure to check the soil for proper moisture
Pruned off all the spent squash leaves
Trellised the cherry tomatoes that had begun vining on the ground
Pruned tomatoes
Pulled up all of the goat's head and other weeds growing through rocks/in beds
Harvested ripe fruits
Deadheaded flowers
